Ah! Nature, keep him warm | Asleep in the Valley

"Ah! Nature, keep him warm".-Who is 'him'? Why does the poet ask nature to keep him warm? What irony is hidden here?

['Him' বলতে এখানে কোন ব্যক্তি? কবি প্রকৃতিকে কেন বলেছেন তাকে উঘ্ন রাখতে? এখানে বিদ্রুপটি কী?] 

Ans. Here the dead soldier is referred to as 'him'.The poet is afraid that the soldier may catch cold as he is lying near the stream. So, the poet asks nature to keep him warm. The poet says that in a small green valley a slow stream flows. Beside the stream there is bright grass. The sunrays coming from mountaintop fill the empty places of the valley full of light. Nature is described as a mother who provides pillow and other comfort to the soldier. Nature is asked to keep the soldier warm which is ironical. The soldier is dead but the poet is thinking that he may catch cold. Actually nature cannot keep him warm because the dark cold realm of death has looted warmth from the soldier's body.

 [এখানে 'him' বলতে মৃত সৈন্যকে বোঝানো হয়েছে। কবি ভয় পেয়েছেন যে সৈন্যটির ঠান্ডা লেগে যেতে পারে কারণ সে নদীর কাছে শুয়ে আছে। তাই কবি প্রকৃতিকে বলেছেন তাকে উম্বু রাখার জন্য। কবি বলেছেন এক ছোটো সবুজ উপত্যকায় একটি ধীর নদী প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে। নদীর ধারে উজ্জ্বল ঘাসের উপস্থিতি রয়েছে। পাহাড়ের উপর থেকে আগত সূর্যরশ্মি আলো দিয়ে উপত্যকার ফাঁকা জায়গাগুলিকে ভরিয়ে তুলছে। প্রকৃতিকে মা হিসেবে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যে সৈন্যটিকে বালিশ এবং অন্যান্য আরাম প্রদান করে। প্রকৃতিকে বলা হয়েছে সৈন্যটিকে উম্ন রাখতে যা যথেষ্ট বিদ্রুপাত্মক সৈন্যটি মৃত কিন্তু কবি ভাবছেন যে তার ঠান্ডা লেগে যাবে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে প্রকৃতি তাকে উম্ন রাখতে পারে না কারণ অন্ধকার শীতল মৃত্যুর সাম্রাজ্য সৈন্যর দেহ থেকে উষ্ণতা লুঠ করেছে।]
